This song was originally a solo piece written lyrics-first by Rachel Jett as part of the NYU Tisch Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program's Masterclass with Bill Finn. Will Aronson set the lyrics, and the moment I heard it, I heard a choral texture hidden within the brilliance of the original song. So, with their permission, I set it. The performance is from the 2007 Spring Concert of the Saint Peter's College McMullen Chorale.
